I am approaching 40s so I was psyched to try the product with collagen. Gravity is getting to me so I was hoping this product would increase my skin firmness. I was disappointed as the product seemed to create a film on my skin without being absorbed. It certainly did not help to moisturize my skin.

Kept My Face Happy
I really like the Astaxanthin Collagen All-in-One Gel by DHC. I apply this only in the morning and the 4 oz jar lasts about 6 months. My skin feels happy throughout the day and never feels greasy or dry. The scent is very light and dissipates quickly. My complaints: 1) My skin feels a bit tacky immediately after application. It does not last long but it's forced me to wait a few minutes before I can apply spf. 2) The gel seems to leave a film on my skin. It's not necessarily a bad thing but when I wash my face at the end of the day or get my face wet, there is a slimy film. While the pros outweigh my complaints, I would repurchase.

Great antioxidant
This is fragrance free and non irritating. Thick texture and initially sticky but dries quickly. Layers well with other serums and moisturizers. A small bit goes a long way. Skin feels supple in the morning after using overnight. Will repurchase.

Great daytime moisturizer
It is a light weight cream rather than a gel. I use this as daytime moisturizer. It absorbs well and does not affect make-ups. My skin feels soft and nourished. Large volume jar lasts months. For this price, I can use it lavishly on neck, decorate and other areas, too.

Great product for combining skin care needs !
I bought this product for my 50+ yr old husband and he has been using in faithfully. I have noticed his skin looking more youthful, fewer lines and more hydration, with greater elasticity. He loves the fact that it requires less time and attention to his skin care routine ! I have not tried it myself since I am already pretty devoted to my skin care regimen with other dermstore products !

nice lightweight cream
astaxanthin gel is actually a cream. it is light orange in color. one of the ingredients is "orange roughy oil" which turns out to be from a fish. so, no, it does not have an orange scent. it's a very nice, soothing cream-smooth and moist but not oily, and completely unscented. astaxanthin is an antioxidant made from pigment (of the fish?). it also includes collagen and squalane, so it is quite hydrating.
