Insufficient sun protection
I received a sample of this, I believe with my last Dermstore order. Normally I would not review a product which I only received a small sample of, but in this case I feel it's necessary. I take sunscreen seriously and am a person who applies it daily (often multiple times a day), every day of the year, even when I am indoors. I was excited to try a traditional, liquid sunscreen from Colorescience as their brush-on stuff (which gets such great reviews) left me disappointed. It is quite runny and appears extremely pink - a shade practically of the liquid Amoxicillin variety - but application was great, I was pleased at how evenly and non-streaky this applied. I was shocked by how this dried down considering how pink it appears initially; I have Fitzpatrick 3 skin and this looked lovely, but on darker skin tones I cannot imagine this working well at all. It wasn't too drying and did not cause any irritating or flaking, but I went outdoors for a bit less than 2 hours soon after applying this... and developed a sunburn. I used the entire contents of the sample pouch for my face and the bit of my neck which was exposed. Either what I used came from a bad batch, or this sunscreen simply doesn't offer proper protection :(

My new go-to sunscreen!
I have dry, acne-prone skin and this sunscreen has been a godsend! It doesn't flare up my rosacea or make me break out like almost every sunscreen out there does. It has an elegant texture AND works! Everyone's skin is different, so there is no guarantee, but I'm so glad I gave this a try. I love it!

Wonderful Physical sunscreen
My skin becomes reactive to chemical sunscreens, I purchased this thinking it would be like most physical sunscreens (thick, with a strong white cast); I fell in love with this sunscreen, it leaves no white cast and it makes a wonderful base for foundation.

Great, but not perfect
Pros: -I have very fair skin and love the tint of this product, it does not turn me orange or yellow like some tinted sunscreens do, it blends in wonderfully with my skin tone. -Packaging is great- similar products get really messy and this one allows you to really control the product that comes out -Does not irritate my eye area Cons: - Does not spread and absorb quite as nicely (for my skin) as SkinCeutical's physical fusion. It's not that it's too thick (in fact I like that it's not as runny/liquid as SkinCeutical's but not as thick like others) but it takes quite a bit of work to blend in - I've had to figure out which primer/prep to best apply underneath this to make sure it spreads nicely. I was very disappointed to find that this product was set to expire just under 5 months after I received it in the mail, compared to other sunscreens I have purchased from Dermstore that, on average, expire a year or so after purchase.

The Best!
I have dry, light skin and this is awesome! The tint is light but perfect if you're fair to medium skin tone, and it feels so hydrating and doesn't exaggerate dry patches.

Interesting concept....
I like the idea so I thought I'd give it a try. Don't like the applicator but I'm not sure there's a better way. Hard to be sure you have even coverage - I just wasn't sure about it. I suppose it works. Probably would not order again.
