Formulated EnviroScreenTM Technology, this lightweight daily sunscreen provides all-mineral protection from environmental aggressors such as UVA/UVB, pollution, blue light and infrared radiation.

Dispense onto fingertips and rub gently to release and activate encapsulated pigments. As the shade begins to develop from white to your shade, apply to moisturized face and continue to blend for even coverage. Watch as it adjusts to your skin to immediately blur imperfections and even skin tone. The shade is fully developed when the product is no longer white. Not fair
I have very fair skin and this was too dark/warm for me and looked noticeably yellow on my skin. It was also tough to blend out and the coverage was very cakey.

Eeehhhh - Kinda Disappointed
I had high hopes for this as I love the "classic" and thought this would be better with the "flex" capabilities. This one however didnt blend well into my skin tone and left my fair skin even whiter. I wouldnt say it left a white cast, but it really didnt blend well into my skin tone either. I will be returning this and repurchasing the classic instead.

Good for makeup days
I really enjoy this sunscreen as an extra layer over top of my usual daily spf. I find that if I use the correct amount, it is too full coverage for my liking. Dries down to a satin/skin like finish. Does crease a tad under my eyes but any higher coverage product does. Appreciate the shade range but I do seem to be in between the first two options.

I wanted to share a positive review of this product; I have just repurchased two more while it's on sale. I love the Face Shield Flex! I use the shade "Fair", I am 67 years old, and this just glides over my dry skin beautifully. I apply my serums, a light daytime moisturizer, then my Face Shield--it blends in and is virtually undetectable---I apply it down my neck and onto my chest as well. Many days, this provides enough of a light smoothing affect that I don't use any type of foundation other than concealer under my eyes. Other days I dust a bit of Jane Iredale Amazing Base over the Face Shield and I have a lovely, luminous look that lasts. Very happy to have found the perfect sun protection product for me!

Finally!
After trying endless products, I've finally found my HG sunscreen!!! I'm fair-skinned with a cool, rosy undertone and have rosacea. I normally use a color corrector before foundation to calm the redness, but this sunscreen completely eliminates that step. It's not orange (like EltaMD or Australian Gold) and has just enough tint to tone everything down. You have to rub it between your fingers first to activate the tint, then continue to rub it on your face for a good minute or two until it's completely absorbed. I've found it's not as glowy and sinks in better if I skip using moisturizer on my desert-dry skin and go from serums straight to sunscreen. Then I let it set for about 30 minutes while getting dressed, doing hair, etc, before applying makeup. I love this stuff!!!

Impossible to blend
I thought I would love this, but it was terrible for me. First, the color range. I've got fair-light skin, and the fair was still a tad too light. Med would be way too deep. If I loved it, I'd consider mixing the two, but I just can't make this work. No matter how I wear it - applied in thin layers, one thick layer, a thin layer over another sunscreen, with a light moisturizer underneath, with a rich one - I cannot get this to blend in. It'll sink in about 75% of the way, but that last bit just spreads around on my face like a thin paste, leaving streaks and marks from my fingers. Emphasizes every pore and peach fuzz hair on my face, like a really bad foundation. I didn't like a single thing about it! I've been a Dermstore customer for 8 years, and I think this is the first product I've ever returned.

This Sunscreen Did Not Work for Me
This sunscreen had too shiny a finish for me. I had hoped it would be more matte in appearance. This was also very, very thick and looked like it was a very thick foundation. I prefer a more natural look. This sunscreen may work better for someone who like a dewy finish and it a regular foundation wearer.
