Best gentle facewash and can't beat the price
This will always be my favorite gentle cleansing facewash and I love that it's so affordable. I've tried everything up to the most expensive face washes until my derm recommended this to me when I was experiencing dermatitis. It's so simple and gentle on my skin but gets it clean.

CeraVe has better
The good: It's gentle; if you have very dry skin, this may work for you. The bad: It just doesn't work. It doesn't remove makeup or sunscreen residue completely, causing closed comedones and new breakouts. It doesn't lather either; the lack of proper surfactants in the formulation doesn't allow for a nice "clean" feeling. It also smells like musty old clothes. Other drugstore cleansers for half the price do a far better job at cleansing your skin (i.e. Simple Moisturizing Cleanser, La Roche Posay's Effaclar, etc.). CeraVe generally has an amazing product selection, but this one isn't it.

Great for Dry Skin
The consistency of this is much creamier than the foaming version so its great if you have dry skin. Unlike the foaming version (which is great for oiler skin) this leaves skin feeling slightly moisturized. If you are after that squeaky clean face you will not find that here but that's probably for the best. You will need to adequately moisturize after using this to lock in the hydration.

Great product at a great price
I have struggled to find a cleanser that leaves my skin clean and clear without feeling stripped, dry and tight. This cleanser is amazing and gets my face nice and clean without drying it out.
