CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser gently removes dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells to reveal a clean, fresh face. The non-irritating formula maintains a healthy moisture balance, never stripping the skin, while eliminating shiny, oily areas. Replenishing hyaluronic acid and ceramides produce a healthy skin barrier so your face feels comfortable without any tightness or dryness.

Wet skin with lukewarm water and massage cleanser into skin in a gentle circular motion. Rinse and gently pat skin dry.

Best affordable cleanser

I love this cleanser! It foams up nicely and removes impurities without over-stripping. It also lasts a long time and the packaging is nice.

Decidedly NOT for dry-ish skin

There is something satisfying about a cleanser that foams - psychologically this gives me the impression that a product is really working to produce squeaky-clean results! - but this stuff is too drying for my face. I have used it with good results on my back/shoulders during bouts of bacne (sorry if that's TMI haha) but it's too harsh to be used as a facial cleanser for me, even in summer when I feel a bit more oily.

Gentle and effective cleanser!

My favorite gentle cleanser! I always use it as the second step in my double-cleansing routine - it cleans perfectly and does not dry out my skin like other cleansers I have tried.

Excellent gentle foaming cleanser

I absolutely love this cleanser and it is the only foaming cleanser that does not dry out my skin. I especially like using it after an oil cleanser or cleansing balm. Non irritating and no scent. A staple for sure.

I'd give it less stars if I could

As a licensed esthetician, I still dont ubderstand ehy derms suggest people use this. It has parabens in it. Methylparaben and propylparaben. Which have been shown to cause cancer. Parabens have been found in breast cancer tumors, look it up. We need to be our own advocate these days. The FDA is not doing their job to protect the public. There are apps you can download on your phone now where you can take a picture of the ingredient list of food or product and it will pop up with what's dangerous in it and why. Dont etay sheltered under this false security blanket of the FDA protecting us from harmful products. This is the exact reason we have an increase in autoimmune disorders and cancers, and dimensia.... people need to open their eyes dont ues this unless you want a tumor in ten years.

torn over this product

I've been using this cleanser every night for the past couple years. I have very oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin and this cleanser works great for me. It cleans without drying out my skin, is affordable, and doesn't have a noticeable scent. HOWEVER, I recently decided to only buy cruelty-free products, which CeraVe is not. I'm VERY disappointed that I have to find a new go-to cleanser.
