great product
This moisturizer is so great for my dry skin! I use it in the morning because it is a bit thinner/light so i think it helps when i put makeup on over it. I have dry skin, but i also think it would be great for any skin type because of how light it is!

Great daily lotion for face
I use this every evening unless my face is super dry from the cold and then I'll use something heavier. This is a great lotion because it soaks in super quickly and you can immediately tell it's working. Can see myself using this in my skincare routine for a long time.

great for a very basic routine

Gets the job done
A straightforward moisturizer when you want to give your skin a break. Nothing over the top, but great value. I apply it right after cleansing and it's been doing a great job. I like to use this at night because it doesn't have active ingredients that might interfere with my other products.

Daily Moisturizer
I buy this moisturizer and the CeraVe cream with the pump. Both are excellent year-round for dry skin. They have no fragrance, which is a must for me, and they work. I use the lotion more in the warmer months but I use it all year. It's a light texture and you can mix it with other skin items. I highly recommend.

Ride or Die Moisturizer
I am a bit of what you'd call a skincare junkie - I love reading journal articles regarding skincare R&D, trying out new products, and doing my own investigative journalism when it comes to federal regulations around approved ingredients. This moisturizer sometimes gets flak in the skincare community for being "too basic," but that's the whole point. CeraVe's formulation is simple with effective hydrating ingredients such as glycerin, dimethicone (no, silicones are NOT bad for you in skincare despite what marketing may tell you), and hyaluronic acid. The ceramides in this formulation, low on the ingredient list, are definitely watered down; however, this lotion provides more than sufficient hydration when applied over actives / penetrating serums. I've used this product without fail for the past decade, layering it over my serums or actives (retinoids, AHAs) nightly. If my skin is irritated, applying this alone calms any existing redness or irritation by morning. Can't recommend this enough!

Lightweight

Not for Acnegenic Skin
This product created more breakouts to my already acnegenic skin. My dermatologist recommended it but after using it and breaking out, I noticed there are known comedoginic ingredients in the formula. If you do not have acne, this product may work great for you. The texture and hydration are nice, just not for my skin type.
