Smells nice and works amazingly
I love the feeling after using this oil. it feels smooth and silky. I assume due to the castor oil. I know fragrances may be irritating to most skins, but I find the fragrance to be pretty subtle.

Gentle and effective
It has no fragrance except slightly smell like almond oil. It removes my makeup and very gentle. The only my concern is it won't lather well with washing water. It will leave oily texture feeling on the face, so you do need to use face wash to remove that oily feeling.

My Favorite Oil For Double-Cleanse
I had been using DHC for the first step in my nightly double-cleanse routine, primarily to remove mineral sunscreen. No complaints with DHC, but trying the Caudalie was a revelation. It cleans just a swell - maybe better, due to the castor oil. The sweet almond oil adds an amazing, very pleasant scent. I have not experienced any breakouts or skin issues whatsoever. The best thing about this cleansing oil is that it has turned a nightly chore into an enjoyable experience.

This is my best first cleanse of all time from one of my favorite skincare brands. I have tried so many other cult-favorite and more expensive oil, balm, and gel-to-balm cleansers and I always end up going back to this one. Gentle oil cleanser
I have been using this as my first cleanser to remove my makeup and so far it does a great job. After I finish with this oil I wash my face with a second cleanser (marie veronique treatment cleanser). This process leaves my skin feel fresh and clean, but never tight and I have not broken out yet from this product, so I call that a good sign. My skin is pretty sensitive and I love that this is a gentle brand, made from clean and natural ingredients. It is so important to be careful about cleansers, especially taking makeup off, which is why I love going with this oil cleanser first. Give it a try to see how your skin likes it.
