Didn't see a huge difference in my hair
My hair is dry and brittle and it didn't help. I don't feel it's bad but I don't see a huge difference. For me it wasn't worth the price.

This heals the strands for the long run
I feel like it works best when I soak it while taking a bath. I normally take about 20 min worth of soaking but it definitely works. If showering and kind of rushing I apply this before shampoo and rinse both at the same time. The longer it can soak the more beneficial this is. I have naturally straight hair but with bleach and straightener use it has more volume/frizz/wave to it than if I did not do all of this damage. Taking the last year during COVID to get my hair healthy, this and the leave in conditioner have been my biggest and best moves all the way around. There's a scent but it's not bad nor too strong after rinsing out. It's not super thick but you don't need a ton. I usually scoop with three fingers and 2/3 hair length down. The timing is key here. It works if you quickly remove it but not in a healing way, more of a traditional conditioner way. It has awesome ingredients so more exposure you can give your strands the better.

My favorite conditioner
I have color treated hair which is frizzy and dry most of the time. This mask is wonderful. My hair was soft with no frizz after one use. I had originally gotten this as a sample in one of the boxes and liked it so i purchased the 8oz. It's a good amount of product. I would recommend and buy again and I'm picky picky.

Hair seems to like it...so far
I wanted to try this out as a weekly mask in conjunction with a clarifying shampoo and my semi-coarse Asian hair seems to like it. That being said, my hair isn't necessarily damaged and can get testy with too much protein in my haircare products, so I'm unsure about results after using up an entire 8 oz jar (I've only used it for 2 1/2 months or so). The packaging allows you to get every last bit, but the texture is on the runnier side for a hair mask which makes scooping with your fingers a little more difficult. Also, I find the scent, while fairly light, artificial and chemical-smelling...maybe vaguely sweet as well?

Maybe for some, but not for me
From all the reviews, maybe I was expecting too much. Starting using this a few days before a big holiday event, for which I styled my hair as usual. I look insane in the photos from that night...my hair is so frizzy it's like I stuck my finger in a socket. I didn't have that problem before I started using this product.

This was the first time I tried Briogeo's Don't Despair, Repair deep conditioning hair mask. I tried an expensive deep conditioning product at my salon and was unimpressed. This product worked really great and, for the economical price, I can afford to use it once a week. I tried it because you only have to leave it on for about five minutes so wasn't wasting time standing in the shower.
