Slip pure silk pillowcases are of the highest quality so they are machine washable, but they are still silk and need as much care as we can give them. Always use a pH neutral detergent and/or fabric softener. Silk is a natural fiber and washing in a solution that's too acidic or alkaline can cause the silk to harden in a single wash. If you can't find a detergent that specifies pH level, opt for one that specifies silk. If your machine doesn't specify exact heat settings, wash on either cold or just one level above cold. If you wish to maximize the life of your pillowcase, hand washing is the ultimate method.

WHY SLEEP ON SLIPSILK™ PILLOWCASE INSTEAD OF COTTON OR SATIN?
Traditional pillowcases don't slip, causing damage to hair and delicate facial skin. Slipsilk™ allows your skin to glide, whereas cotton scratches and tugs on delicate facial skin, resulting in premature stretching and sleep-crease. Cotton also dries out your skin and hair. It even twists your hair at the root as you sleep, which causes bed head in the short term and can damage your hair in the long term. Synthetic satin is a poor petroleum based substitute for real silk.
WHY SLIP? ARENT ALL SILK PILLOWCASES THE SAME? All silk pillowcases are not created equal. Watch out for toxic dyes and false claims of momme (fabric weight/thickness). Some silk pillowcases don't even have a charmeuse finish, so they feel more like a thin, rough parachute material. Very strong, but without the health and beauty benefits.

So Comfortable!
I've been sleeping on Slip silk pillowcases for awhile now. The difference between sleeping on silk and not are subtle, but real. I no longer wake up with creases on my face (I'm a side sleeper), and my hair stays manageable between washings. In addition, the silk breathes which makes it the right temperature all night long. It's really easy to notice the difference when one goes back to a regular pillowcase. I'm a convert for life, I even pack mine when I travel!

Very high quality silk
I love this pillow case, and after a lot of research, the silk they use is such high quality for the price. For me, there is a draw back though, because I paid a lot for it, I got the King size, I do not use it as much because I tend to baby it when I wash it. I hang it dry, which takes about a day or so, then I iron the wrinkles out of it. So basically I am sleeping on a regular pillow case for about two days or more depending on when I get to laundering it. I am saying this because I wish I bought two instead of one. Having only one, I do not use it as much as I would like. So if you are in the market and have the budget, definitely by two so you are always sleeping on one when the other is dirty.

OMG. MUST HAVE.
So good!! I received my first pillow case two weeks ago and just purchased another one! I wish these weren't as pricey but they are SO WORTH IT! My hair is thin and fragile and I usually wake up in the morning with a rat's nest on my head! Using a slip pillowcase, my hair is completely fine when I wake up in the morning... if anything it is more tame looking than when I went to bed! Also no weird creases on my face from the pillow smush-ing. It's an amazing and necessary addition to your beauty routine - highly recommend!!!!!

My Favorite Pillowcase
It seems a little outrageous to spend this amount of money on a pillowcase, however, now that I have 2 I'm a believer. I got the black color so nothing stains it and my hair hasn't been as tangly in the mornings. The biggest improvement is the reduction of facial lines from my cotton pillowcases. I would wake up with lines all over my face and panic before work. No more!

Can't sleep on anything else
