Nothing compares!
I put off buying the beautyblender for so long by trying so many drugstore alternatives (Real Techniques, Loreal, Ecotools, etc.). Nothing compares to this. I will continue purchasing the beautyblender since it applies foundation flawlessly. Plus, I find this sponge lasts way longer than any others so in the end I'm actually saving money!

Will never be without one!
The beautyblender applies makeup like a dream! As long as you dampen it prior to using it, it doesn't use much more product than a brush. I use it for applying my foundation, concealer, and powder. I've tried many of the cheaper imitation sponges and none of them compare!

Overrated Sponge
Don't get me wrong, it does what it says it does - blend foundation - but it is not really worth the price. It wastes a lot of product to even the base out. You have to take care to notice what foundations work and what ones don't, because this does NOT play well with several of mine. It does not help much with patchiness or flaking in foundation either, but it will help make the distribution of product even. This thing also isn't super sanitary - you will not be able to wash the inside as well as you could a brush, so the lifetime of these things is shorter.

Best foundation applicator!
I am obsessed with this product! It's funny because the first couple of times that I used it, I didn't like it at all. Once I watched some videos on how to use it properly, then I fell in love! My foundation goes on so nicely and my skin looks flawless after. Definitely better than using a foundation brush!

Holy grail
I love this sponge. I clean my sponge everyday after I use it and it lasts a long time. Doesn't break up or tear. I usually get a new one every six months

not worth the hype
I've tried the Beauty Blender a few times. I think people call it soft because it's squishy and bouncy, but I don't think the actual surface texture is soft. My cheeks are very sensitive and often feel like they're sunburned even though they're not. This feels horribly scratchy and stabby in those areas. It also bleeds horribly when it's washed. I'm pretty sure there were times when there was still some dye loose in the sponge and changed the color of my foundation. I don't have that problem with other, lower cost, sponge applicators. I prefer a store brand or little triangle sponge over the Beauty Blender.

You need time and money for this
It's a $20 sponge. Yes, it doesn't streak like a flat brush or your fingers, but it takes about 5 times as much product to apply since the sponge absorbs most of it. And you need to bounce and roll many times to get an even finish, not to mention the constant soaking, squeezing, and washing before and after use. I used a densely packed face brush to apply and buff out my foundation evenly without leaving it cakey. It works, lasts a long time, and saves a ton of money and time.

Can't live without
I've been using the original Beauty Blender fir a few years now and I could not imagine applying my makeup without it. I have fine lines and wrinkles and this sponge definitely smooths my foundation beautiful. I also use it to bake my makeup.
