The roller can be used on the face and body every 3-5 days, depending on your results. Step 1: Make sure your roller is clean. Disinfect with alcohol or similar disinfectant.
Step 2: Use mild pressure, do not force the roller into your skin.
Step 3: Roll back and forth at the same intensity on the treatment area 5-10 times in each of the four directions - horizontally, vertically and diagonally.
Step 4: Following treatment, you may apply creams and other skincare products.

Great at-home treatment
After reading about this product on the Dermstore Blog, I decided to order it and use it as suggested in the article (once every two weeks for at least six weeks). I've been using the dermaroller with the PCA Hydrating Serum, which is wonderful! So far, I've noticed that my skin is softer for a couple days following the treatment, and my products absorb into my skin better. I do think there is a slight difference in my post-acne hyperpigmentation, but it's really too soon to tell. I will definitely continue to use this and update if I see more improvement in my skin.

in theory this at home tool should be beneficial given the fact that microneedling performed by an aesthetician can produce insanely awesome results, but this little tool just doesn't compare. Mind you, the price difference is quite large between seeing a professional for a single microneedling session in comparison to the face roller, but after about 10 uses of the at home face roller it's suggested you toss it/replace it since the needles will become dull. (And make sure to sanitize with rubbing alcohol after each use!) I used the face roller at home about 6 times, twice a week for 3 weeks prior to my first professional microneedling appt....literally would not risk potentially irritating your skin more just for the sake of saving money. I didn't notice any added benefits from using this tool at home. Sure my face stung a bit more when I applied my usual serums, which sort of tricks you into thinking maybe your products are sinking in deeper, but it caused a few tiny little blood dots around my eyes (where the skin is thinner, obviously) perhaps I wasn't using the tool correctly, but there may be too much room for error as well as just not a noticeable enough of a difference to recommend this to anyone.

Great roller, but....
The roller is great quality, but unfortunately I broke out after using it the first time. I have sensitive skin so that's probably why I broke out since I didn't have any active acne (you're not supposed to use it when there's active acne on your face). I haven't used it again in fear of breaking out again. I would recommend trying it if you don't have sensitive skin. The benefits of microneedling are amazing!

I've had microneedling done once at my dermatologist's office and it was quite painful along with a 4 day downtime. I bought this hoping I would get good results without so much pain. I use this 3 days a week and I am getting really good results, my pores appear smaller and skin brighter. I haven't noticed a significant difference with wrinkles but overall my skin looks better.

this is the first roller I've ever purchased or used. I soak it in a cup of alcohol before and after using. I've been using it every other day because I want to make sure my skin is healing. The first couple of times I used it, I think I pushed down too hard. No pain, no gain, right? Well, it hurt like all get out. And my face was irritated for 3 days. I finally got the hang of it and my skin looks great. I do use good products as well, but I think this has helped. The instructions say to use it every 3-5 days. I use it once a week and sometimes once every 2 weeks.

Wheel does not turn
Bought this after reading all the good reviews. However the one I received after using only a couple of times, the roller wheel does not turn or roll smoothly. Feels like it stuck. This is especially bad when you use this device on your face and the roller doesn't move unless you have to press it hard for it to turn. Boy ! that kind of pressure with tiny needles on your face can cause some pain. Regret purchase, returned it. Will try a different brand for better luck.
