Works well

This was my first experience with microneedling. It's easy to use, but it DOES hurt. Face looks horrible for a few days and then skin peels to nice fresh skin. Was hoping it would help with my melasma, but not really. Definitely beats spending all the money to have it done professionally.

WOW, this really works!

I have used this a couple times, once without numbing cream with less needle depth, and the other WITH numbing cream at a deeper needle depth. Both times I saw a significant difference in skin texture, smaller pores, less fine lines. The deeper needle treatment, I went over the same areas with a couple passes and it took 4-5 days for my skin to heal. Once healed, my skin was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this pen, however take it easy! Next time I will use at less depth and less passes. NOTE: The needles do not automatically go in and out of the skin, you need to move it around yourself. This is not a huge deal as it still makes a huge improvement in skin texture. I think this is best used with numbing cream as it is painful without. Results are worth it though!

Okay for home treatment- use with care!

I should start off by saying that I was trained in medical-esthetics including microneedling treatments. I was really surprised to find this device on dermstore, especially because anyone can buy it (meaning anyone can do some pretty bad damage to their skin if they use a device such as this improperly) - so, this device is actually pretty reminiscent of what I've used in a professional setting. Reviewers say that it just vibrates in place, and I honestly couldn't tell you if it just vibrates or is just too fast to tell. The important thing is to lock it into place and start out on the lowest depth, NOT APPLYING PRESSURE as you gently glide across the skin. I hate when people review these kinds of tools and rate it one star because "it hurts". - microneedling DOES hurt, especially without a numbing cream! It's normal to have pinpoint bleeding (scratches aren't good though so that's why you need to only press to the skin enough so that you feel the needles.) The whole idea behind microneedling is to create a controlled wound to stimulate the healing process in our skin (and therefore boost collagen/elastin production). So don't buy this if you can't handle needles poking you repeatedly. Because it hurts, I'm sure so many people just rush through using this, causing scratches and damage to their skin. You need to go slow, or else you're just going to regret it. Also- the goal for best results (as we were taught) is to have even redness all over your face, not splotchy. I was able to achieve that with the ORA, and I went up to .5 mm. I definitely advise people who aren't sure if they can do this on their own to go get it done at a med spa, where they will use numbing cream. Do not use over active breakouts (mild texture from congestion is okay) because it will spread the bacteria! You will most likely notice your results within two weeks, but again- just be careful :)

Microneedling at Home!

This device has so many settings and needle lengths that you can customize your treatments. No real need to get professional Microneedling if you do your research. I love having professional treatments at home at a fraction of the cost.

Ten times better than the roller pens.

I've had 5 vampire facials and can speak from experience. This works, but be careful. Don't drag it on your skin. Glide it gently. Start on slowest setting You can probably do 1 mm on the fleshy parts like the cheeks, but under the eyes and forehead, I would stick to .25 to .50. .

Great at home product!

It works wonders, I love it! Its Hard to schedule time to get into the derm sometimes. This does work with the upkeep. It's a must get!

My new favorite product!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but for the price I figured it was worth trying out at home rather than spending hundreds at a spa. I'm so happy I did! It does take some practice, but after only 2 uses I have already seen dramatic results!

This is an at-home, professional tool

I want to start my review by saying I was hesitant to purchase this because of a couple reviewers who stated this is a waste of money, as the needles just vibrate and don't pulse up and down like the professional derma pens do. After doing some research about this, I came across a very clear way to tell that the needles do pulse up and down. Take a video of the device with the tool on and set it to the "slo-mo" feature, and yep, you can clearly see that the needles are going up and down. They just move so fast that it appears to vibrate. I am happy I looked into that because I was about to return the device after reading that, but now I can clearly see that I am getting a great deal for the money. I use a light dermaroller at home a couple times a week (0.25), then this at a 1.0 every few weeks. It does hurt and I find that I am still using this on the lowest speed, because it will take some time to get used to. I see a huge difference with this and my other roller, so I am very satisfied.

Works amazing!

I have few acne scar on my cheek, and I use this tool every two weeks and it really works! The redness stays about 3-4 days depending on how deep you are using it. I usually start with 0.5mm to make my skin numb, then gradually increase the depth up to 1.5mm, sometimes to 2.0mm. If you use the numb cream, you don't have to start with 0.5mm, for it takes longer. It's very easy to use, and the needles are reusable. I soak them in antiseptic alcohol for few mins before using. Never had trouble by reusing the needles. But I do replace them every 2-3 months. I've already recommended this product to my friends and they all love it!
