The ORA Electric Microneedle Derma Pen System takes the guesswork out of microneedling by producing controlled, precise needle strokes faster than a traditional roller. The fine needles penetrate skin just enough to create small punctures that send your skin healing signals. Tip: ORA recommends using a serum or cream after the needling treatment, as this will enhance the absorption of the skincare product. Some users use the cream or serum prior to the roller treatment. However, the use of creams or serums is not necessary with the rollers—meaning you can use the rollers on their own. The roller dramatically enhances the absorption of your skin care products when you follow up the treatment with your favorite serum or cream.
Preparation:
1. Take the needle cartridge out of the sterilized packaging.
2. Fit the needle cartridge into the pen and lock the cartridge by turning it counterclockwise.
3. Adjustment of needle length should be done after turning on the machine.
4. If you want to remove the needle cartridge, turn it clockwise and push out horizontally, fitting round slots (slot 1 and 2) together.
Adjusting Speed and Needle Depth:
1. Press the power button for 2 seconds to turn the pen on. Pen features 5 speed levels. The speed increases when you press the button. You can confirm the speed by the flickering speed of the yellow LED lamp. To turn off machine, press button for 2 seconds.
2. You can adjust the length of the needle by turning the adjustment ring clockwise or counter clockwise. Turning it clockwise will make the needle longer. Turning the adjustment ring clockwise with shorten the needle length.
Instructions for Use:
1. Cleanse skin thoroughly before use.
2. Select proper needle length for area being treated.
3. Hold skin taut with free hand, then move the pen from right to left over you skin. Use constant pressure, but do not press too hard. Do not lift pen, keep the needles in constant contact.
4. Repeat step 3, now moving the pen up and down over the same area of skin.
5. Repeat step 3, now moving the pen diagonally over the same area of skin.

Yes it Stamps up and down
I don't understand some of the other reviews saying this just "vibrates" but doesn't actually stamp up and down. That's simply not true. To prove this all you have to do is turn it on and record a Slo-Mo video on your iPhone or iPad and you can see the needles stamping straight up and down, like they should. There are also five speeds of stamping from slow to very fast. Each press of the power button changes the button color to show you the speed (see the product insert for what each color and speed means). You can also literally hear the difference between speeds - the highest speed is high pitched and the lowest speed is low pitched. So it's not that difficult. I agree with other reviewers that you need to do your homework before using this product. And perhaps start with a manual dermaroller first before you graduate to this derma pen. If you intend to use it above a 0.5 needle depth then I definitely recommend a numbing cream first (there are many 5% lidocaine numbing creams on Amazon). Because the needle head is smaller it does take longer to treat your whole face then it does with a dermaroller. But it's much easier to get into corners and delicate areas and I love that I can change the needle depth depending on the area I'm treating. I also love that Dermstore sells the replacement needle heads so I can use a clean, sanitary new head each time. It takes some homework and patience but this is a great and very effective product.

I never dreamed microneedling could do so much, so quickly, for your face! I have dark circles and baggy under eyes from loss of collagen. Most people don't realize thats what it is and creams do not work. This absolutely does. I started with the face rollers then upgraded to this! It also makes my eyebrows grow in! Dark spots lightening and filling in my marionette lines! It's amazing!!

I got this for acne scars & have only used it three times so far, so not soon enough to tell a difference in that I don't think. I have noticed a huge difference in my face looking brighter and feeling smoother after I use it & for that reason I am keeping it. I also feel that I have had less breakouts since I have used this. My only dislike is that I wish there was more instructions on how often to use, recommended serums to use with it, how often to replace the needle, etc.

I use this every 4 weeks. I love how you can adjust the depth of the needle. It truly has improved my skin, it is a better alternative than office peels, microdermabrasions, and lasers. It actually thicken your skin, unlike the alternatives it thins out your skin. The impact of the microneedling has transform my childhood deep chickenpox scar craters to shallow pits. My skin is far from being "glass skin" but I feel that overtime it could come close to it. I use it in it's lowest setting around my eyes and eyebrows and it has tightened the area and also my eyebrows are growing in the empty patches. I highly recommend this over the microneedle roller. It is easier to clean, you can adjust the needle length. The pain is not tolerable for me, I always numb my skin before use.

Oh my gosh...I am loving this!
I am really enjoying using this product. I have only used twice so far. I can't say that I have noticed any earth shattering results yet, but I realize that skin care redemption takes time and patience. However, I find the product easy to use and feel confident that with continued usage, I will see results. I haven't replaced the tips yet - am hoping to get three or four usages out of each tip, but I clean them off with alcohol after each use. It stings a bit but I know it is working. It isn't too uncomfortable. My face gets a bit red afterwards which is to be expected but that goes away quickly. I have been using the .25mm one time a week. So far, I am liking the product and am happy with my purchase. Knowing what I know now, if I had to do this over, I would definitely purchase this product again. Thanks Dermstore!!

Good, but be careful
This goes deeper than the recommended length of needles for typical out of office microneedle rollers (doctors recommend going no longer than .25 at home). It works great, but research a numbing agent if you plan to use more than .25/.5 mm. Also keep it sterile with alcohol and replace needles often! I would definitely do your homework before using this at longer needle lengths.
