Avène XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil calms, soothes and alleviates itching associated with atopic dermatitis and eczema. The moisturizing oil deeply cleans without drying out the skin or causing further aggravation during flare-up
In the shower, lather in hands before applying to the skin. In the bath, pour the equivalent of 5 pumps into bathwater while filling the tub. Rinse and gently pat dry. Follow with XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cream for very dry skin or XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Balm for severely dry skin.

Great cleanser but a few notes
I do love this cleanser - there are so many cleansers out there these days, but at the end of the day, I'm always looking for a gentle, effective cleanser that is unscented, won't break me out, and just generally "reliable." This checks all those boxes, and I especially love that I'm getting 400ml of a quality product for the price. Much more economical than some other options. Two things to note - the product is unscented so there's no fragrance added to mask anything (which I prefer) but the cleanser itself has a sort of musty, almost stale smell. It's not my favorite, but definitely not a dealbreaker for me. Secondly, it's super gentle as advertised, but for some reason it does sting my eyes slightly... Again, nothing too bad and not a dealbreaker, but I was a little surprised by that given that it's meant to soothe aggravated and irritated skin. Not sure if it's just my eyes!

Best cleanser for eczema! Scalp too
Ive tried multiple cleansing oils and this is my favorite by a long shot. I have tried the eucerin one. It smelt like butt and the smell was so strong it lasted into the next day. Bioderma is the other cleansing oil I tried and that smells like an old lady, although a much more tolerable experience than the eucerin. I have not tried the cerave or the llaroch posay cleansing oils so cannot give a comparison there. Avene does not have any added fragrance and no odors that I could detect. Such a relief! totally helped with my kp on my legs, no more itchy thighs, and I even use it on my scalp! Cleanses hair and leaves scalp moisturized. ( I have fine wavy hair fyi) You can use it as a face cleanser too, but you have to use a full pump to be effective. This has a consistency more like a gel than an oil btw. I tried using the eucerin baby shampoo and body wash to save some money. Even though it was shea butter based it was not quiet as effective as this. Bummer! I could see this cleansing oil being a good baby shower gift as well ;)

Great, very different than other oil cleansers
The texture and consistency of this cleanser took me by surprise-it feels nothing like a traditional oil cleanser and is in fact an ultra thick gel. It does still emulsify with water, though, and has done a bang up job of keeping my skin hydrated. I typically use this as a second cleanse. I also tried this once on my body and wasn't crazy about it but that's fine since I purchased it for my face. I love that it is economically priced and comes in an easy-to-lock pump bottle.

This is my holy-grail cleanser for my extremely dry psoriasis skin, it removes makeup and leaves my skin so soft and moisturized, i used to get annoying tight tingly sensation on my dry skin and never since using this cleanser.

Fantastic Product!
Contact dermatitis isn't fun to manage as most products contain fragrance and other undesirable ingredients, but I've been using this product for a few months now with great results. I use the cleanser twice a day and follow it with the A.D. Cream in the morning and A.D. balm at night. My skin hasn't been this clear in years! Highly recommended.
