Been Using This Cleanser For Years
I am 62 with fair, very sensitive skin. I get red easily on my cheeks, but not rosacea outbreaks. I use this Avène XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil as my first step in my nighttime routine. It helps break down my sunscreen and eye makeup; however I will admit it doesn't take all my eye makeup off - liner along the lash root line. It doesn't leave a oily film.

Great Gentle Makeup Remover
I use this at night to remove sunscreen and makeup. As a contact lens wearer I appreciate how gentle this is around the eye area. It removes all traces of makeup and leaves my skin feeling soft. I do use a second cleanser after this to make sure I remove all of the oil. Love it!

Love this product
I love cleansing oils because I suffer from very dry skin, especially in the winter. This one is just what I need for that extra moisture.

Yes. Thank You Avéne
I've used this for just over a week and I am, so far, very impressed. I had been using Mayo recommended Vanicream cleanser and, while gentle, it didn't do the trick. This product is SO very gentle and cleansing. My skin looks healthy, hasn't had a single breakout or rash and the serums and lotion (Avéne lotion) I apply afterward do not sting my face. I have many allergies to ingredients, have sensitive skin, and am a Retin-A user. I have to be terribly careful of what I use. The next closest thing would be Avéne's cleansing bar, however I wanted a liquid cleanser (less messy). I wasn't happy that this wasn't available in a smaller size (for trial purposes) but after using it-I know it will be my go-to for a long time. Avéne products have made my finicky skin happy! It's got no scent (yay), is a very thin liquid and I love the pump dispenser.

I wish I could get my money back
I stabbed myself trying to get this open, the top wouldn't work, it dropped and broke.. I just finished cleaning all of this off my bathroom floor and walls. I'm so angry. I also waited almost an entire month for this to come in the mail, I haven't had good cleanser for my face in a long time. Love throwing it directly in the trash and down the drain.

Perfect for my sensitive face
I use this as a face wash. I have naturally sensitive, dry, acne-prone skin and I'm working on restoring/maintaining my moisture barrier after going too hard with actives. This works PERFECTLY. it is not an oil cleanser but a non-foaming gel. Very little lather but it really does the job of cleansing and making my skin feel clean but not stripped. Seriously, BEST face cleanser out there!

Nice pre cleanse
I just started using this as a pre cleanse to remove makeup and ensure a very thorough overall cleanse. This removes all makeup really nicely and hasn't aggravated my skin or eyes.

Good, basic cleanser
I wouldn't call this an oil cleanser - it's got a more gel-like consistency, but not as drying as a regular cleanser. It is very thick until you emulsify with water and cleans very well. It works well for sensitive skin and you get a a lot for the price.

A little thick for me
I wanted to really like this as I know this is a great brand, but sadly this didn't really do it for me. I think it does a great job at getting rid of makeup/spf/oil, but once I rinsed it off my face felt stripped and dried. The smell is a little odd as well, but I like the ingredients. Good product, just not for my dry skin!

Doesn't melt spf off very well
I bought this hoping it would help me remove my sunscreen at the end of the day. It isn't very effective for that purpose so I use this then the vanicream gentle foaming cleanser and those two together seem to do the trick. I does seem to be gentle and non drying but I think the vanicream one is more gentle still.
