This products works great for those with sensitive skin who have a hard time tolerating other retinol products. Great for Sensitive Skin
I tried this because my skin is sensitive, and I've had no irritation at all. It has a somewhat thick texture and glides easily over my face. I'm not sure how much it has reduced the appearance of fine lines yet; it probably is keeping them from getting worse, if nothing else! But this product is a great way to ease into retinols/retinaldehyde, especially if you have sensitive or reactive skin.

Best for Sensitive Skin
I've been using the Avene Retrinal for years and I love it! I like the benefits from using this product, and it doesn't irritate my skin like retinol does. Incredibly drying
I love Avene products typically, but this was incredibly drying for my skin. Even using a miniscule amount a couple times a week completely dried out my face. The pump also broke early on, so I had to "pump" product that just oozed out of the pump base. Disappointing.
