I like this product
Wasn't overly drying for a retinol but i didn't see much difference after using for 3 months. Maybe i didn't use long enough. My esthetician recommended it.

My skin is so clear!
You have to be patient when using this retinol. It takes a couple months to notice a difference. But once you wait it really does work well! I was having issues with acne and this has helped me so much. It helps with hydration, acne, and my hyperpigmentation. I wouldn't recommend using this product every night if you have sensitive skin because it will make your skin a little red (at least that's what happened to me when I first started using it). I love this product and I really recommend giving this one a try and be patient. I've been using this for a few years now and will not use anything else because it works so good for such a good price.

My skin loves this!
I use this product in the evenings and apply it before Skin Medica TNS Recovery Complex. You do not need much and I particularly noticed a changes around my eyes. It does not irritate my skin as other retinals have in the past.

Love the texture
I like how it makes my skin feel. Compared to oily serums with retinol. I also think this works. My skin looks great the week's I do use it. Absolutely no irritation- that could be because I use a lot of moisturizer and antioxidant serums after.

This is one of the mildest retinol products on the market. That said, it still packs a punch. I can use this daily with no irritation and it does not leave my skin red or irritated, which is a feat as my skin is quite sensitive.

Real results
I do not use this product because I'm sensitive to other forms of retinol, in fact I have a very high tolerance for retinol products. I use this because it's the most effective retinol product (of those I've tried) at noticeably softening my fine lines and improving tone and texture. Cons: I don't love that it leaves a yellow hue (I use it at night so it doesn't really matter, but it can stain pillowcases if I don't give it time to absorb). I also don't personally love the texture, it takes me a moment to rub it in, and the packaging could be better. But these are very small issues considering how incredibly effective this product is. Pros: With regular use my skin is more bright, even-toned, and the fine lines that have been creeping into my life are softer and smaller. Use regularly and consistently. I am on my second bottle and I noticed most noticeable results when I was 3/4 done with my first bottle, so give it a little time.

I originally started with the .05 and have graduated to the .1 strength. It does make me highly sensitive to the sun but we do not need the sun exposure at this age or at any age without protection. I get compliments on my skin and I attribute a lot of it to my Avene products. I struggled aver a year with skin problems. Tried many different products and Avene was the one that finally gave me relief. This is one of my daily products that I use at night. I think it has help make a difference in my aging skin.
