Avène Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion removes dirt, oil and impurities without disrupting your skin's delicate moisture balance. This soap-free formula may be used without water and is ideal for post-procedure use to relieve dryness, itching, stinging or burning. It features a concentration of Avène Thermal Spring Water to calm irritation and soothe inflammation.
Apply morning and night with a cotton pad or fingertips with circular motions. Pat dry without rubbing.

Holy Grail Cleanser!
I have been struggling with hormonal acne and by using my prescription Tretinoin my skin has become very irritated and extra dry. I also have very sensitive skin that gets dehydrated so I was in need of a good cleanser and moisturizer to cope with those issues. After trying so many brands and products, that only ended up wasting my money and making everything worse, I decided to give a chance to this Avene cleanser hoping that indeed is an extremely gentle lotion like the name suggests, and also based of a recommendation from Dr Dray on YouTube. I am very pleased with the Avene line so far. I bought the Hypersensitive Skin Regime (3 piece) and my skin has been loving the cleanser and moisturizer, both very gentle and effective, they do what they are supposed to do, and a bonus is that they do not contain fragrance that can irritate the skin.

Gentle and Non-Drying
This is a super gentle cleanser. I use it after I wipe my face with the Avene micellar water. You definitely want to do a pre-wash before using this because its so gentle it alone doesn't seem to get everything off my face, but I love it after the micellar water. Also I always do a double wash with it too just incase.

My morning cleanser!
At night I prefer to use a more foaming, gel cleanser to get rid of dirt and make-up from the day but this is my morning cleaner. I take this and use it to do a little facial massage every morning. The directions say to wipe off but I prefer to rinse off leaving a little of the cleanser still on my face after rinsing. I have sensitive reactive skin with dermatitis flare ups and this is really soothing on the skin and does not cause my skin to react.

Irritating
Did not like this cleanser. Caused itching, Was looking for a more lightweight cleanser as the weather changes but this does not fit the bill. I like the Avene Tolerance Extreme Cleansing Lotion better but it works better for winter.

I was given this cleanser to use after a laser procedure was done on my face two years ago and I loved it so much that I kept using it. I appreciate that it has no mineral oil, silicones, or any kind of fragrance. It's a simple, no-frills product that does the job.

Liking it so far
I'm on my first bottle of the Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion, and I really like it. I use it to clean my face every morning. I don't follow the directions on the bottle though. I use it like a typical cleanser and rinse it off with water. It hasn't dried out my skin or caused any breakouts and does seem to be gentler than my previous morning cleanser. I am planning to repurchase. I love the simple ingredients and really like the idea of using piroctone olamine, which has some anti-fungal and other beneficial properties. One thing to note if you are an ingredient scrutinizer like I am is that the ingredients as of April 2020 were incorrect on Dermstore's website. They are: Avene Thermal Spring Water, Cetearyl alcohol, serine, centrine bromide, coco-glucoside, disodium edta, piroctone olamine, sodium benzoate, sodium cetearyl, water.

Does the job
I actually used this as a body wash cleanser and it did the job. No complaints. I think I prefer for my face washes to have the pumps for packaging but that's just my personal preference.

Thank have extremely sensitive combination skin. I have been struggling with breakouts and dryness due to a lot of ingredients in some beauty products. I was happy to receive this product and try it.
