Great daily lotion for rosacea
I've been using this lotion for a few years. Although it's not very hydrating, it is not reactive and is good for sensitive skin.

Beautiful Package, that's about it.
I'm on a Rx Vitamin A face gel and this Ac Soothing cream/lotion does nothing to soothe, calm, or ease the dryness. It has a rather strong sweet smelling fragrance, which is horrible (irritating) for any face cream/lotion and especially for people who are using a Rx Vitamin A face cream. My one star is for packaging and some hydration. My question is, WHY put such a strong fragrance in this product when it is meant for calming and soothing the skin.....?

Favorite Avene Product Thus Far
Avene Products I've tried: XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil, Hydrance AQUA-GEL, Clean-Ac Soothing Cream, Skin Recovery Cream. Out of everything I've tried, this product is my favorite thus far. The lotion is very lightweight - even more so than the Hydrance Aqua-Gel, which is surprising. I also feel it's the most hydrating. It doesn't sit on the skin and absorbs easily. I feel this could be used by almost anyone, not just those using acne products. While I'm ranking the products I've tried, I'd rate the XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil second. It's honestly a close tie as a favorite with the Clean-AC Soothing Cream and great to use together. As of now, those are the two Avene products I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

wonderful moisturizer for acne prone skin
I first received this as a sample from my dermatologist's office, recommended for use with prescription-strength retinol I use. I have super oily skin with large pores, and this stuff calms any irritation form retinol or chemical peels without breaking me out. The packaging prevents contamination of the product, unlike a pot. It's also light enough for day use under sunscreen.

My favorite moisturizer while on Accutane
I'm currently on Accutane and my skin has been sensitive and dry as expected. Before started treatment I picked up this moisturizer and it's counter part, Clean-Ac Soothing Cleanser. Both are gentle and non irritating. Other moisturizers by this brand are great, but make my face burn. This one is the only one that doesn't, aside from the Skin Recovery Cream. Highly recommend this product for anyone on Accutane.
