Enjoyed it
I enjoyed this cleanser, even though it is a gel formula it did not strip or dry out my skin. It is great for acne and oily prone skin. It also takes off makeup really well but I always used it as a second cleanse.

Perfect, like all Avene Products...
This cleanser is just perfect - cleans thoroughly without stripping; doesn't irritate, smells mildly pleasant, a little goes a long way...my skin is finnicky, has been through a lot - at 40, I can be sensitive, aging, acne-prone, sun damaged - all of those skin sins that we pay for in later years ;) and this cleanser works beautifully without over-drying or breaking me out. It also works wonderfully on back/chest. I routinely use it with my Clairsonic - match made in heaven. Once & again, Avene is reliable, fairly priced and does exactly as I'd hope.

My favorite facial cleanser
Avene Cleanance Gel was recommended by a dermatologist a few years ago when I started suffering from adult acne after quitting the birth control pill. I have tried other facial cleansers like La Roche-Posay Toleriane and Effaclar but I feel this one is gentler on my acne-prone skin - meaning it does not leave my skin dry or irritated after using it.

Great Cleanser
Ive only used this a week, but Im in love. I try to stay away from gel cleansing products because they tend to be drying and my skin is extremely dehydrated, especially in the winter months. This left my face fresh and clean. It didnt feel stripped at all. Loving this stuff

This cleanser works effectively to take off dirt and makeup. Good for acne prone skin. The cleanser is a bit drying, but if your skin isn't dehydrated this isn't much of a problem.

Good Value and Works
I picked it up when traveling. It is a huge bottle, a huge value. Sometime available in a twist top form which I prefer for travel. I have only used it on the face but no negative reaction. I do recommend a toner to follow for pH balance. I trust this brand and would consider it again.

Not for my skin type
This cleanser is heavily fragranced and does nothing for my oily skin. The smell is nice (kind of floral) but facial products with added fragrances irritates my oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin. After using this I began to experience more breakouts, which is why I no longer use this face wash.

Love it for my dry sensitive skin
Great product! I've been using it for years. Super gentle on my dry and sensitive skin yet it gets the job done and my face feels really clean and refreshed after use. Keeps my skin from getting greasy during the day, and keeps pimples and blackheads at bay. All that for a super reasonable price since a little really goes a long way. One of many awesome Avene products, great combo to use with their Clean-ac moisturizer. Strongly recommend!
