Softening, smoothing
I purchased this because i was desperate for an alternative to Alterna's Kendi Oil, which they appear to have discontinued. Although this costs (much) more, it's just as softening and smoothing, and has a light, pleasant smell. Don't need to much, although i have somewhat thinner hair (thank you, menopause) that's shoulder length. So mostly concentrate it on the ends at sides to ward off split ends. Nice kendi oil replacement, just wish it was less costly.

Did not meet my expectations
I own a few Alterna products, and have enjoyed all of them. This one missed the mark. To begin with, the smell was over-powering. It was citrusy and strong. Next, the oil was way too thick. It was difficult to apply, and I felt like I had definitely applied too much in some sections. As for the effectiveness, it did the job of smoothing hair adequately but that was about it.

Great hair oil
I really like everything about this hair oil except for the price. I have thick straight hair that is prone to frizz. I put this on before blow drying and add a little extra after flat ironing to smooth down the frizz. It never leaves my hair oily.

Good hair oil, but not my favorite
This is a decent oil, but it weighed my fine blonde hair down. I used up the bottle but would not repurchase.

Love this line of products
First time I have tried the oil. It is lightweight, disappears into hair, and does not weigh down hair. It does smooth hair and eliminates frizzies. Pricey, but a little goes a long way.
