Great for dry skin

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Beautiful formulation, but a bit of an oily feel and takes a while for it to absorb. It's probably better for nighttime but if you want to use it as a daytime antioxidant serum, it may be better to find a water based vitamin c serum

My Holy Grail!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have tried SO many vitamin C serums throughout my life that I lost count. My skin does not like ascorbic acid on it's own. It gets red and irritated - certainly not the result desired. So I basically had given up my search until I heard about this little gem. If I could rate this product 10 stars I would. I was nervous putting it on the first day thinking my skin was going to cringe but because this isn't just ascorbic acid my skin fell in love. I mist my face first and while still damp I use one pump all over my face and it soaks right in. It leaves a nice glow and with continued use my skin has already improved. I will forever continue to buy this vitamin c and I have told so many about it. Thank you Allies of Skin for this Vitamin C perfection!

Harsh on skin, minimal difference

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

They must have changed the packaging because the product I bought in 2019 had a top lid that was finicky and impossible to use. I have Asian (generally flawless ) skin but this product was too harsh, very acidic on my skin. Instead I recommend skinceuticals Freulic or shiseido serums

My new favorite Vit C

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This Vitamin C feels as good and the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic, but is not as expensive. I like the color which is clear, not orange , which I have heard some brands usually add the color so you can't tell when the Vit C is getting oxidized. Perfect dark bottle to keep the product protected from light.

Best Vitamin C

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was using DE Vitamin C but was looking for another brand because their packaging isn't recyclable. I love the glass bottle from AoS! Bonus - I found a product that I liked even better than DE, which can be sticky. Allies of Skin has the highest % I've seen, but it's also the most gentle. Zero irritation, great under makeup, no pilling, just pure glowy skin goodness.

Hard to Say

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Allies of Skin always boast really great ingredients, but so far I haven't found a product of theirs that shows results or feels good on my skin. Though this boasts Superoxide Dismutase, one of the strongest antioxidants, The Ordinary says that superoxide dismutase is destroyed by strong acids, such as vitamin c. You can do your own research and make your own decision on that one. Vitamin C is mostly preventative, so it's hard to tell if it is working or not, but after consistently using this product for over a month, I have seen no improvement in the look of my skin. The plus side is this is no bad scent from this like there is with some Vit C serums. I do worry it will oxidize before I finish the bottle. It has a dark bottle, but the dropper system exposes it to air every time I use it. Maybe smaller bottles at lower price point?

Great Vit C serum

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Started using this serum this week and am enjoying so far! The first time I applied this I used way too much and it didn't absorb right. Only need a couple drops for each cheek. Like that this serum is gentle and has not irritated my sensitive skin! Very good ingredients and impressed with the formulation of this product.

fav vit c serum

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

The only vitamin C serum that doesn't irritate my combination, acne prone sensitive skin! No break outs, and my skin texture started improving within days of using this. I see why it's often unavailable, so glad I tried it out!

Quality Vit-C Serum

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I like this serum a lot. It has made a big difference in my skin. My only dislike is it seems to take a long time to soak in.

Pretty good, weird crystals?

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I wonder if I got a bad batch but there are undissolved crystals in this solution even after significant mixing/shaking that feel weird when I apply it to my skin (is this a normal part of this formula??) I also wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this particular formulation as it seemed quite viscous compared to all other vitamin C serums that I've tried - but that oily-type feeling quickly dissipates as it absorbs really nicely into skin! The highly stable form of vitamin C in this is quite exciting as I can keep it at room temp without worry of quick oxidation!
