Great product. The only one I always repeat buying and recommend to my friends all the time.

Purchasing again

Second time purchasing this product. I'll be wearing this year round. Very smooth application. Just enough tint.

Love it! Protection and subtle coverage.

This is really all you need for sun coverage. It's perfect. The texture is great and the tint somehow blends in and covers beautifully.

My Favorite Sunscreen

Elta MD Sunscreen is the only sunscreen that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin - and protects my skin from sun damage without any greasy or mask-like feeling. A five-star product!

Dark Skin? Find Something Else

1

This product isn't good for dark skin tones. If you're lighter, you might be able to rub it in well enough for you to not look like a ghost during your 9am Zoom call. Otherwise, prepare for someone to think you're related to Casper.

Pump is an issue.

Rating: 4 STARS. Here's my review based on using this product for two days. To give some context: I'm in my late 20s, have pretty severe combination skin (very dry forehead and super oily T-zone) and I'm of Indian origin (Fitzpatrick type IV-V). I have previously used the following sunscreens: Shiseido, La Roche Posay Anthelios XL (tinted) & Supergoop Mineral Matte (tinted). Nowadays I pretty much only use mineral sunscreens that are tinted for the double protection it offers. What I really like about this product: 1) It has no noticeable scent. This is one of the reasons why I stopped using Supergoop because the fragrance started to bug me, especially as I'm someone who really layers on the sunscreen and reapplies throughout the day. 2) Consistency of the formula. It's not runny like La Roche Posay nor is it thick. It's very creamy and thus, easy to apply. 3) I specifically went for the oil free formula because of my severe combination skin. After wearing it for 12-14 hours, although my skin was a little oilier, it wasn't anything crazy. What I don't like: 1) The pump is terrible (as per previous reviews). Remember - I've only had this product for 2 days and I'm already experiencing issues. Sometimes it dispenses the product seamlessly, other times nothing comes out and then you pump vigorously and it projectile vomits the product. This is a serious issue in my opinion. 2) This is a moisturising formula but despite that I did moisturise prior to application. Even then, I experienced some flaking on application around my forehead area (it's a problem area for me!). But overall it is a hydrating product! Regarding the tint (please see my photos which show a side by side comparison of the different tinted sunscreens I have). - it has more of a yellowish undertone which works for my color - when I initially apply the product, it definitely looks at least a shade lighter than my natural skin but within 45 minutes, it seems to have sunk in well and oxidises to a shade that is more true to my color. This is something I've noticed with my skin - I always buy foundation/ tinted moisturisers that are a shade lighter because products oxidise quite strongly on my skin. No clue why. Out of the tinted mineral sunscreens I've tried so far, I really like Elta's!

Love This Sunscreen

5

Love the consistency. It goes on like a tinted cream but is an effective sunscreen too. Does not burn or cause my eyes to tear. Only downside is you do not know how much is left in the tube because you can't see through it. It is my first time using it so I don't know how long it will last and when to buy a new tube before it runs out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I have used this daily rain or shine for almost two years. The texture is lovely and most days it's enough coverage for me to use alone with some concealer. It's my favorite by far & always have an extra bottle as back up.

Doesn't Sting or Itch

5

Got this as recommended by Angie of Hot and Flashy and what a great recommendation! Sunscreens always make me itch and sometimes sting, but this one doesn't! It's moisturizing, the tint is perfect, and it doesn't come off on clothing.
