it REALLY works
5I suffer from seasonal (fall/winter) or stress induced flaky scalp. You can imagine what's been happening on my head during this pandemic. Thank goodness for Briogeo's Scalp Revival. My scalp has never looked better. It has the consistency of a nut butter so it does take some getting used to. To make it work for me, I part my hair in sections, put a pea sized amount on my finger, swipe it down the parts and massage it into my scalp using gentle circular motions. I do this for about 3 minutes, making sure the lather goes from root to tip. Beware though. If you have dry hair, this may make it feel drier. I use a very thick, moisturizing conditioner that I leave on for 5 minutes to balance this out. I have been flake free this entire winter. I hope this works for you as great as it's worked for me. My only complaint is that is comes in a plastic container.

Excellent shampoo for dry scalp/frizzy hair
5This minty, coconuty, charcoal paste is actually a wonderful shampoo! My scalp gets dry sometimes, so I use this once or twice a week in rotation with my regular shampoo. It's really delightful to use - very refreshing but gentle. Micro-exfoliating, not super exfoliating. I found it to be just the right amount. My hair is cleaner, fluffier, and less frizzy for some reason. Note - I saw an earlier review that said this "had weird beads". It does *not* have microbes which are very very ver bad for the environment. It's just tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny bits of charcoal, which also draw out impurities.

weird texture, not very exfoliating
3this product was kinda strange to me, it wasnt gritty, it had weird little beads that didnt do much. has a consistency of peanut butter. smells minty though. did not think it cleansed, and hair did feel dry after

Allergic itchy
5Cleaned well. However, it left my scalp extremely itchy until the next shampoo. I have had this issue with other shampoos so it must be something unique to my scalp.

5Great for a weekly revitalization for your hair, nice scent, good scalp refresher and does not dry out hair.

Great scalp care
5This stuff feels really cooling on the scalp, which I love. It also totally alleviated some itchy scalp and flaking that I was having. Just using it once a week and it feels and works great!

Smells great
5Smelly like mint, works great on flakes and product buildup, lathers like crazy but doesn't strip your hair and leaves it shiny. The only con is that it's in a jar with a big open top (there's literally no reason why it can't be in a normal tube/shampoo bottle) so it's a bit of a pain to make sure water doesn't get into it while applying it to your hair, but that's just a minor annoyance.

Surprising and Grateful
5Have tried so many products (shampoos, conditioners, scalp oils, etc.) to deal with itchy scalp and dry hair. Purchased this, along with the conditioner, and have been cautiously optimistic and surprised about early results. Was hesitant to go with the charcoal (for fear of it not all rinsing out), but no worries here at all. Makes a nice lather and really cleans my hair. So far, very grateful for the improvements in my itchy scalp and will keep using. :)

First time trying a scalp scrub
5I purchased this around Christmas and was pleasantly surprised how well it works! The lather is incredible, it's invigorating on the scalp and smells amazing! I use it once a week or every 10 days followed by the deep conditioner. A must have!
